We are very proud to announce our recent funding award of £21,500 for DangerPoint, Talacre.
DangerPoint, an independent children’s charity and interactive visitors centre, focuses on teaching children invaluable life skills outside of the classroom. DangerPoint has been designed to inspire, inform, and engage with groups.
Centre Manager, Julie Ann Tyler, says…
“We are very grateful that the Neumark Foundation have chosen to support schools and groups across North Wales that would otherwise struggle to attend the centre. Transport costs have increased enormously in recent months and has created an even bigger barrier for many groups. A visit to DangerPoint helps create ‘Resilient children, able to thrive’ by providing an inclusive and interactive life skills experience that immerses children between age 7 and 11 in real life situations in a fun and creative way.”
The funding will help subsidise visit and transport costs for 1,000 children from primary schools across North Wales in 2023. Each visit will help develop life skills to enable them to make positive choices and manage risky scenarios with confidence in the future.
The Neumark Foundation CEO, Rebecca Prytherch said
“We feel that DangerPoint is such an incredible place for the effective development of crucial life skills for children, that all children within primary schools across North Wales should have the opportunity to avail of this facility, which is why we are really proud to be able to provide this support”.
