Funding Criteria

Our funding criteria couldn’t be simpler:

  • We accept funding requests from registered charities, charitable organisations, or individuals with a charitable project including Charitable Incorporated Organisations CIO. We do not accept funding requests from Community Interest Company’s CIC’s
  • We accept requests for funding from regional and national organisations, however only for projects taking place in and benefitting North Wales communities
  • We focus on funding projects that enhance the lives of children or young people up to the age of 26
  • Our key areas of focus are education, employability, wellbeing, isolation and/or social disadvantage
  • Funding is generally awarded to one-year projects. We will however consider funding multi-year projects (up to three years) if the project requires it — subject to satisfactory monthly reporting
  • To apply for multiyear projects (up to three years) you will need to show evidence of your funding strategy and planning for after the foundation funding period ends
  • For a year 2 or 3 application We will require evidence of your development plans to finance the project for after year 3.
  • Our policy is to favour revenue proposals over capital requests
  • We are unable to provide funding for organisations, who have not yet published their first year accounts
  • We consider projects on individual merit
The Neumark Foundation celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2026. We remain committed to working closely with and supporting charities that improve the lives of children and young people across North Wales.
As we look towards our next ten years of impact, we are taking time to review our strategy and future priorities. We have therefore paused the acceptance of new funding applications until January 2027.
