The Neumark Foundation is pleased to announce a funding award to Nightingale House Hospice, which will enable them to continue their important work in supporting bereaved children across North Wales.

The Family Support Team offer bereavement support services to children and young people under the age of 18, with no prior connection with Nightingale House Hospice required.  Referrals for children and young people are received from a wide variety of services, including, schools, GPs, CAMHS and direct from family members and carers and across their catchment area which includes Wrexham, Flintshire and East Denbighshire, through to Barmouth on the North-West Wales coast.

This support includes Woodland Wellbeing Days. These events aim to support the wellbeing of bereaved children by bringing them together for peer support whilst experiencing a number of activities that aim to promote positive wellbeing.

The woodland wellbeing day includes mindful walks, creating animal shelters for Woodland animals, having a picnic outdoors, playing in the wood, having craft time to make things together, and enjoying time around a campfire with hot chocolate and marshmallows.
