The Neumark Foundation is pleased to provide funding to The Denbigh Workshop at their Creative Arts Summer School. This is an enriching summer school that builds positive experiences for the young people who attend and creates an inspiring legacy to enable them to learn new skills and have opportunities to grow in confidence.
The summer school is aimed at disadvantaged young people interested in the arts, living in Denbigh and the surrounding areas. The event supports 100 young people over two weeks including young carers, looked after children, one parent families and low-income households.
Young people attending have the opportunity to engage in workshops led by leading practitioners in the arts, music and drama. There are opportunities to make clay art, practice the art of comedy, learn how to green screen, practice yoga, experience acting and singing from West End actors, have a go at graffiti art, circus skills, stage combat, meditation, music mixing, calligraphy, design the fifth element with a TV actor, dancercise and make shadow puppets.
“This is a wonderfully enriching experience. Every young person who attends, has the opportunity to be inspired, and to learn new skills, gain confidence and explore creative arts in a wonderfully nurturing and caring environment. We are very pleased to be able to support The Denbigh Workshop in this way, to deliver such an outstanding experience to the young people it serves”.
Rebecca Neumark – CEO at The Neumark Foundation
“We are so grateful to The Neumark Foundation for its unwavering support to us. Without them we would not be able to bring our creative arts summer school to the young people who gain so much confidence and self-belief through the time they spend with us. Thank you so much”.
