We are delighted to announce that in response to the needs of young carers in North Wales, with support from The Waterloo Foundation and Steve Morgan Foundation on top of The Neumark Foundation funding, North Wales Young Carers are expanding their team.
Emma Lightfoot is the first new member to the Education team.
Emma has had a combined 13 years in Education, initially as an ASD and Speech and Language Teaching Assistant, moving on to becoming a qualified Primary Teacher.
She has built on this experience by proofreading educational resources for children and young people with visual and learning impairments, as well as working within the education recruitment sector as a Compliance Officer.
Emma is dedicated in supporting schools in Wrexham County in order to identify and assess Young Carers, ensuring that they can access the respite and intervention they so desperately need.
We look forward to announcing the next new member, as North Wales Young Carers are currently recruiting a fluent welsh speaker for their team.
