North Wales Young Carers

With the increased need for support for young carers, particularly following the Covid pandemic, Neumark Foundation funded North Wales Young Carers, are currently seeking an inspiring new Education Liaison Officer to expand their fantastic team across Wrexham, Denbighshire, and Conwy. This role will be funded by North Wales Young Carers Project funding partners Steve Morgan Foundation.

Some of the key requirements for this role are:

  • Experience working with children and young people in an educational/school setting
  • An understanding of the Wales schools’ systems and curriculum
  • Welsh speaker
  • Confidence to engage and interact with primary and secondary school aged children and young people
  • Confidence to engage and support teaching staff
  • An understanding of the challenges faced by young carers
  • This is a home-based role therefore you need to live within the work area

This is an incredible project, and this exciting role will also provide the opportunity for the right person to engage with the largest current research project into young carers, led by world leader in young carer research, Professor Saul Becker, Professor of Children and Families and Institute Director, Manchester Metropolitan, and Neumark Foundation Trustee.
