We are delighted to announce that we have awarded the fantastic charity Youth Shedz, Founded by ShedBoss, Scott Jenkinson, £35,000 to employ another Youth Worker due to their incredible success they have had improving the lives and chances of young people across North Wales, through their initiative.
Youth Shedz is a charity that aims to reach the most disconnected young people by providing a safe space for young people aged 11 to 18, and 16 to 25, to explore their identity and develop pro-social relationships, alongside positive role models.
Scott said “Our strengths are that we do not depend on large numbers or take a typical youth group approach; we have excellent relationships and a good reputation across the North Wales area , working with North Wales Police, Schools and local councils to target young people who need support in developing pro-social relationships and learning new skills.”
Youth Shedz has now established a project in 5 areas of North Wales, with new ones being started in Holyhead and Buckley, and an outreach bus also which does engagement and scoping work across the area.
